Assessment of Converter Performance in Hybrid AC-DC Power System under Optimal Power Flow with Minimum Number of DC Link Control Variables

This paper presents a strategy to evaluate the performances of converter stations under optimized operating points hybrid AC-DC power systems with reduced number DC link variables. Compared previous works reported five DC-side control variables (CVs), uniqueness presented optimal flow (OPF) formulation lies within selection only two such as inverter voltage and current in link, apart from conventional AC-side Previous research has mainly been focused on optimizing system performance through OPF-based formulations, but mostly ignored associated performances.
